Had a few spare hours and as i’ve not been to Guildford for a few years i fancied a trip into Stockbroker Belt of Surrey plus see if PJ HiFi was still there which is where i always buy my HiFi equipment from even though i didn’t have the money for a new CD player this trip
Day started at West Croydon Train Station and it was my lucky day as train was just coming in as i got there
PS The train fare from West Croydon to Guildford is only about £7 return with trains running about every 15 to 20 mins during the day
Something which i find odd is that Croydon and Guildford don’t have a direct link these day as there two big towns in Surrey and you have to change at Epsom

If your up to it you can hire Canal Boats for a long weekend or a Rowing Boat for a few hours

Cheam Train Station where i got off to use the loo on my way home and had to wait an hour before the next train home so wasn’t happy

Big thanks for your comment have to say i would swap Croydon for Guildford any day as its a great place with it’s town centre and is so nice to have a walk down by the river, just a shame the day i went it was a bit cold and not that sunny but will be back in the summer as it’s only about an hour by train. You have some great info on your website of whats going on in Guildford plus different events which i will have to check the next time i come.

great to see some nice shoots of Guildford. Having lived here my whole life it has become a bit of a bore but actually it’s quite a nice place. Shame you haven’t got any shots of the Cathedral as it’s really amazing. Love it when it’s lite up at night as can be seen from almost anywhere in Guildford.

Hi,
I am a member of Freegle – a non- profit recycling network in the UK. One of our associated groups has asked me to make them an image for their homepage and I would very much like use your 2nd image of the Guildford Clock if you would allow me and the group permission.
Thank you
Jenny
